About us
Stour Valley Cat Rescue was set up 40 years ago with a mission to provide a safe and caring environment for all cats and kittens that need rescuing and rehoming in Stourbridge and the surrounding areas. Matching up our cats and kittens with potential forever homes successfully is very important. Our vets check each cat thoroughly and provide neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and any treatment as necessary. They work closely with us to improve the health of the cat population. By using foster homes we rehabilitate and socialise rescue cats enabling us to get to know their personalities. We aim to provide a brighter future for our feline friends.
Meet our cats and kittens
Cat Adoption
Adopting rescue cats and kittens is at the heart of what we do. The process starts with an idea of what the potential adopters are looking for in their new cat or kitten. It may take many visits before a match feels like the right one. Your home will be checked for general suitability, we know that all sorts of homes make great places for cats to settle! A donation is gratefully received and we provide follow up support in terms of advice for any issues.
Foster Care Programme
Our foster carers provide a temporary home environment for cats or kittens who need some socialisation, rehabilitation or one-to-one care for cats who have been unwell or traumatised. It is invaluable for letting us know what the cat likes or doesn't like and how best to match them with potential adopters.
Upcoming Events and Volunteering
We have frequent fund raising events which are great fun and ensure that our funds are enough to provide for all that our cats need. We welcome any volunteers who can help with these events. Please contact us if you'd like to become involved.
